We all know it. Dragons are horny. And fertile. And if there’s not another dragon they can stand around, they’ll [BLEEP] anything! Sometimes that results in your standard half-dragons, and sometimes it results in horrible monstrosities. And just sometimes, something truly special is the result.
Thus it is that Vengathiri, the Dragon Frog, came into existence. She dwells in the heart of Slundermush swamp, where, keeping up with draconic tradition, she [BLEEPS] a lot of stuff. And spawns hordes of froglike monstrous offspring. These monster children help her increase her territory as she sets out to rule the swamp and the civilized lands beyond. Surely there is no band of Adventurers that would be brave enough to venture into the swamp and deal with this emerging threat?! Surely not…
The Dragon Frog model is designed to stand on a Huge (3”) base, and has a wingspan of nearly 10 inches! It is also very well hollowed, and uses about 100ml of resin to print the whole thing (supports included).
Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic.
The Dragon Frog was first released as a pewter miniature in the DRAGON FROG kickstarter. It was really heavy.
