Magnetic Area of Effect Markers

Easily determine blast radii and keep track of lasting zone effects.

$10.99

These sturdy lead-free pewter markers come in two varieties, a 2? long straight piece, and a smaller corner piece. One set contains 4 of each piece, and all of the pieces have a small but powerful neodymium magnet attached, so that the pieces will hold firm to your Magna-Map Combat Grid.

The fiery effect is instantly appropriate for fireballs and other fire-based spells, but as you can see at left, the pieces can be painted in a number of different ways to simulate wildly different spell effects.

The combination of straight and corner pieces can be used to mark out blast effects in 3.x versions of D&D (more than one set is required for larger blast areas). In 4th Edition it’s a bit easier, as most zones are squares, you can actually use one set to mark out two different zone or blast effects. Still, the versatility of the pieces allows you to make even very unusual shapes.

The pieces are small and narrow, so they are easy to use without getting in the way of your figures, and because they are all separate, they are also easy to put down on the map without your figures in play getting in the way of them (as can happen with some area of effect templates made of wire or similar materials).
